1, personally appeared before me,
J. D. Kernodle , C. S. C., in
and for the State and County aforesaid,
Mrs. Caroline Wrenn
, age 67 ,years,
and a resident at
Burlington post-office in said County and
State, and who being duly sworn,
makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension under the provisions of an
act entitled "An Act to amend
Chapter 198 of the Laws of 1889, for the relief of certain Confederate Soldiers and
Widows," ratified March 2, 1901;
that she is the widow of the late
Henry Wrenn
who enlisted in Co. I ,
22 Reg. N. C. State Troops, on or about the day
of
, 186 1 , to serve in the
armies of the late Confederate States.
She further states that she was married to said Soldier or Sailor before
the first day of April, 1865, and she has never re-married; that she is, and has been for twelve months immediately preceding this Application for
Pension, a bona fide resident of North
Carolina; that she holds no office under the United States, or under any State or county,
from which she is receiving the sum of
three hundred dollars as fees or as salary annually; that she is not worth in her own
right, or the right of her late husband;
property at its assessed value for taxation to the amount of five hundred dollars ($500).
Nor has she disposed of property of such
value by gift or voluntary conveyance since the 11th of March, 1885.
Mr. Wrenn was Killed at Getts-
burg.

We certify the following allegations set forth in her application to be true, namely: That
she has never re-married; that she is, and has been for twelve months immediately
preceding this Application for Pension, a bona fide resident of North Carolina;
that she holds no office under the United States, or under any State or County, from which

is not worth in her own right, or the right of her late husband; property
