From the Statesville, NC, newspaper, T he Landmark, dated Tuesday, March 30, 1897:

"Mrs. Noah Miller died March 23.  She had been in feeble health for years but was not worse than common.  Death supposed to be due to heart trouble."

[Mary Laura (King) Miller was a daughter of Elizabeth Betty King and George Little.  After John's death Mary married William Franklin Chapman, son of Elisha and Sarah (Deal) Chapman.  Mary is buried beside John at Macedonia.  William Chapman's first wife was Anna Goodnight.]
