Charles Clyde Atkinson

Charles Clyde Atkinson was born 23 February, 1875 and died 23 September, 1948. He was a private in the 2nd NC Infantry during the Spanish American War. He married Vera Crosby Melvin. She was born 23 November, 1901 and died 19 September, 1951. They are buried at Old Trinity Methodist Church in Elizabethtown.

Charles raised 2 families in White Lake. This picture was taken about 1895 when he was about 19-20 years old. Charles was the son of Alford Atkinson and Ann Elizabeth Melvin.
