Isham Hayes Guyton was the son of Paris L. Guyton & Nancy Brisson. He was born in the Bethel region of Bladen County on March 3, 1866. He was the 10th of the 12 children his parents had. He was a Merchant and owned his own store. He died in Bethel on Feb 23, 1924 at the age of 58. He is buried in the Guyton family cemetery in the Pleasant Grove Church area.

Mary Adeline Guyton was the daughter of Jacob Guyton & Helen McLean. She was born in Bladen County on Nov 06, 1871. She was the 5th of 6 children. She was a mother of 6, 2 of which died at an early age. Mary died on Jul 16, 1936 at the age of 64. She is also buried in the Guyton family cemetery. with 4 of their 6 children. Isham & Mary were 1st cousins.
