McRae's Battalion, Company A

STOWE, GEORGE C.
Previously served as Captain of Company I, 33rd Regiment N. C. Troops and was on duty as Captain and Enrolling Officer in the 9th Congressional District when he was appointed Captain of this company. Served with the company until the battalion was disbanded in June 1864. Later appointed Lieutenant Colonel of the 5th Regiment N. C. Senior Reserves.
