At a county Court of Pleas and quarter Sessions begun and held for the county of Chatham at the courthouse in Pittsborough on the second Monday in August and on the 11th day of said Month anno Domini 1794 and in the XIX year of our Independence.

Ordered that Paschal Moore a child (orphan was scratched out) of Prudence Hilton, Ten years of age the 27th day of next December be bound to Patrick St. Laurence Esquire, untill he arrives to Lawfull age -

Ordered that William Pyland be appointed oversee of the Road the ensuing year in the room of Thomas Branton leading from the Island ford on Haw River to James Sellars and that the former hand (s)? work under him.

The last Will and Testament of John Justice Dec'd, Exhibited in open court and duly proved by the oaths of Thomas snipes & Eferiller Moore two subscribing witness thereto and on motion ordered to be recorded whereupon the Executors therein named was duly qualified in open court and returned an inventory of said Estate.

Verdict - guilty within three years before the action brought in manner and form as the plaintiff has declared against him and assess the plaintiff damages to 600? pounds &  6 shillings cost. Appeal prayed and granted Patrick St. Laurence & John Ramsey approved securities, Bond given, reasons filed, made out the 15h Aug'st and delivered.

that a summon issue to Willm. Petty to appear at next court to shew cause why one acre of land may not be condemned for the use of said mill, and that the sheriff summon Thomas Evans, David Maddon, John Riddle & Rich'd Drake, jurors to view value and lay off the same and report to next court.

John Thompson Register with Thomas Stokes Esquire in the sum of 2000 pounds, George Gee entry Taker with Joseph Stewart & Elisha Cain in the sum of 2000 pounds for the faithful discharge of thier dutys in office.

Therefore ordered that administration on the same Estate be granted to Ambrose & John Ramsey who enters into bond with Jas. Harman in the sum of one thousand pounds whereupon an inventory was returned and ordered to be recorded and John Ramsey was duly qualified open court. Knowing no other will than that Exhibited as above.
