1760 - 1821
French Medical Doctor who fled during the French Revolution to the West Indies and later to coastal North Carolina. Prominent early settler of Lake Waccamaw. First doctor in Columbus County. First planter in the county to  bale cotton for export. Father of three children by Princess Formyduval and six children by Penelope Baldwin Formyduval who he married in 1802. This site is where many of his early descendants are buried. Dedicated 8-9-1997 by Michael Formy-Duval.
