Conover Web Site Wins Award

Derick Hartshorn, creator and host for the Conover NCGenWeb  site is shown receiving an
 award in the form of the city seal from Conover City Manager, Donald E. Duncan, Jr.

In the ceremony held in the city hall meeting room, City Manager Duncan stated that, "I would like to thank you for all your hard work in documenting the history of Conover, and for providing an outlet for your collection to be viewed via the internet. It is a rare treasure for a community to have so much history available at their fingertips."

"Please note that when the City's own web site is launched in a few short weeks we would still like to feature your link. As a small token of appreciation I am awarding you with one of our City Seals, and a selection of lapel pins. Thanks for all you do and please don't hesitate to contact me if you should need assistance."
