NOTE: The late Doctor James Fulford McMillan, son of Sarah Emma Fulford and
James McMillan, Wilmington, NC, found the Fulford-Bogart Bible in the late
1950s or early 1960s and had made notes, which allowed me to double-check the
dates and times in the photocopied pages from the Bible. He also included at
least one other page of information, which had been omitted from data sent me
by Mrs. Bogart in 1999. Dr. McMillan’s daughter, Anne McMillan Ryals, kindly
furnished me with copies of her father’s notes. This information provided me
with a basis for which to begin my family research. Sarah Fulford’s father
was Walter Fulford, sixth son of Joseph and Sarah Frances Hyman Fulford.
