WILLIAMS / SIMMONS    December 04, 2002
Norman Cain WILLIAMS, b. June 4, 1888 in NC, d. Nov 27, 1963 in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co, NC, was living in the Rockfish Townfish in 1920, listed on the Census as a Widow. His occupation was listed as Laborer in Cotton Mill.

His son, James C. (Calvin) Williams, age 5, and his mother Elizabeth (Nee?) Williams, age 60, b. NC, were listed in his household.

His first wife whom I recall was referred to as Nettie is believed to be the Meddie G. Williams, 30 Aug 1892 - 5 Sep 1918, w/o Norman G. Williams, listed in the Big Rockfish Presbyterian Cemetery in Cumberland County, NC.

Norman C. Williams later married Minnie B. (Biggs) SIMMONS, age 38, Widow, b. NC, occupation Seamstress, who was listed on the 1920 Census in Rockfish Township. Her sister, Katie Biggs, age 37, Single, b. NC, occupation Laborer in Cotton Mill, was living in the household with her.

Any information regarding any of these individuals would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone happens to go to the Big Rockfish Cemetery and could check to see if the tombstone transcribed as Meddie G. Williams w/o Norman G. Williams is actually Nettie G? Williams w/o Norman C. Williams, I would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance for any information. Louise Griffith
