September 9, 1840 - Fayetteville Observer 
This old obituary I found in an old Bible which belonged to 
Miss Sudie Pickett of Fayetteville, my great great aunt. The obituary references a Mrs. D. Picket and a Miss 
Comfort Pickett both of Bladen County who died one day apart.  The clipping does not show the year.  It does 
feature the obituary for Elizabeth Autry, wife of Theophilus Autry and daughter of Matthew Crumpler.  She was 
also mother-in-law to Robert Tolar.
