1763 WILL OF FRANCIS WALKER

In The Name of God Amen the 12th Day of february one thousand Seven
hundred & Sixty three I frances Walker of the County of Cumberland and
province of North Carolina planter; being weak, but in perfect mind and
Memory thanks be Unto god Therefore Calling Unto Mind the Mortality of
My Body & knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to Die Don[sic]
Make and Ordain this My Last Will and Testament that is to Say
principaly and first of all I give and recommend My Soul to the hands of
god that give it and My Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in
Decent Christian Burial att Discretion of My Exectr Nothing Douting but
att the general Resurection I Shall Receive the Same again by the Mighty
power of god, and as tuching Such Worldly Estate wherewith it hath
pleased God to Bless Me with in this life I give Devise and Despose of
the Same in the following Manner and form
Imprimis that is to Say first of all my will is that all My just Debts
and funerall Expenses be first paid and Discharged fo My Estate By My
Executors after My Desceas.
Item I give Devise and bequeath Unto My Eldest Son frances Walker his
heirs and asigns on half of Tract of Land Containing one hundred acres,
the plantation whereon the Said frances Now Liveth, and the other half
to My Youngest Son John Walker whereon I now Liveth and LikewiseI give
and bequeath all My _____Estate [lost in fold] Children Charles Walker
John Walker [M?]ildred Walker to be equally Decided between them My
Executors as they thinks file to the only proper Use of and behoof of
them My said Children their heirs and asigns forever forward and for Ever.
