(3/14/2002) Pat has learned recently that Jordan Phelps was bondsman for Nathaniel Pebworth and Mary Hill in 1828, Cumberland Co., NC. Phelps, Pebworth and Hill are on 1830 Census of Cumberland County. Jordan Phelps died in Savannah in 1839. His wife Rebecca lived on in Ga as a widow until she died in 1870's, living in the home of her son-in-law. She listed her place of birth as Fayetteville, NC. Pat still searches for her family.
