Contributed by Fay Sadler
August 18, 2004

North Carolina, Cumberland County In the name of God Amen
I Mary McKeithan Sen. of the aforesaid County, now laboring
under bodily infirmities and knowing it to be the lott of all once to
die; being at this time of sound mind & memory, blessed be God for
it. Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, revoking
all others. In the first place I recommend my Soul to God who gave
it and my body to the Dust from whence it came to be buried in a
Christian like manner. And as respects my wordly affairs my
Will and desire is and soul does need. My Executors (which are
hereafter named) to cause all my Estate sold as soon as convenient
after my death in the best manner for the advancement of the value
and the money arising in the first place pay for my funeral
expense and then all my just Debts and the ballance if there is
any, to be equally divided between my five children (viz)
Archibald McKethan, Sarrah Teddar, Elizabeth McLaughlin,
Mary McKethan, and Izabell McKethan.
I nominate and appoint my son Archibald McKethan
and my friend Neill McNeill (Ferry) Executors to this my
last will and Testament.
Given under my hand and Seal this 25th day of June 1826

					Mary (her mark) McKethan
						(SEAL)

Witness: Jno. Hodges
