Deed from Ann Snow to Thomas J. Jordan
Cumberland County North Carolina
10 August 1854

This Indenture, made this 10th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between Ann Snow of the County of Cumberland in the State of North Carolina, of the one part and Thomas James Jordan of the County and State aforesaid, of the other part; Witnesseth that the said Ann Snow for and in consideration of the natural love and affection and in further consideration of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid, by the said Thomas James Jordan at and before the sealing and delivering of their presents, the receipt whereof she doth hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted and bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released and confirmed, and do by these presents, give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, remise, release and confirm, unto her(?) son the said Thomas James Jordan all that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Cumberland bounded as follows, Beginning at a stake on the north side of the Turn Pike Road and thence North 20 West to a stake Phillips South East corner thence as Phillips 3 chains and 30 links to his upper corner then South 20 East two chains to a stake then East sixty eight East to Beginning - To have and to hold the said Land, with its appurtenances, to the only proper use, behoof and benefit of the said Thomas J. Jordan, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Ann Snow hath for herself and her heirs, executor and administrators, doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Thomas J. Jordan his heirs and assigns, that hath said Thomas J. Jordan his heirs and assigns, and any of them shall have, hold, occupy, possess and enjoy the said Land, with its appurtenances, without any let, suit, hindrance, molestation, or eviction from only by the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever, to warrant and forever defend - For Testimony Whereof, the said Ann Snow hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal, this day and year first above written -

Deed from Flora Snow to Ann Snow
Cumberland County North Carolina
01 April 1854

This Indenture made this 1st day of April A.D. 1854 between Flora Snow of the County of Cumberland, State of North Carolina of the one part, and Ann Snow of the County and State aforesaid, daughter of the said Flora Snow, of the other part, Witnesseth; that the said Flora Snow, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which she bestoweth(?) unto the said Ann Snow, and for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty cents to her the said Flora Snow in hand paid by the said Ann Snow, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, aliened, remised, released and confirmed, and by those presents doth give, grant, alien, remise, release and confirm unto her the said Ann Snow, her heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Cumberland and State of North Carolina, on Haymount, West of Fayetteville, the following are the ancient(?) boundaries - Beginning at a stake Chisolm corner, on the South side of Hay Street, thence N 70 W along said Street one chain to a stake; thence South 30 West to a stake and bounded on the East by Chisolm line, proceeding from the said beginning corner, and runs as to said Chisolms line, for compliment of one quarter of an acre, be the same more or less; with all and every the appurtenances and improvements thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining; To have and to hold the said Land with its appurtenances, to the only proper use behoof and benefit, of the said Ann Snow her heirs and assigns forever, and the said Flora Snow, for herself and her heirs, executors and administrators, doth consent, promise and agree(?) to and with the said Ann Snow her heirs and assigns, that the said Ann Snow her heirs and assigns, and any of them, shall have, hold, occupy, possess and enjoy the said land, with its appurtenances, without any let, suit, molestation or eviction from only by the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever, to warrant and forever defend - For Testimony Whereof the said Flora Snow hath hereunto set her hand and seal the day and year first above written -
