The REVEREND NATHAN POYNER BIBLE
The following was copied from a Bible belonging to the Reverend Nathan Poyner, minister at Poplar Branch (1850 census). The Bible, published by the American Bible Society for the Methodist Convention, New York, 1837 was in the possession of Mrs. Laura Gladys (Poyner) Reynolds in 1972, 3842 Nancemond Circle, Norview, Norfolk, Va. No other entries were found on any pages or inside cover of Bible. One old clipping was found–an obituary for Elizabeth Jarvis, wife of Rev. B. H. Jarvis–no date, but from a Richmond newspaper. This copy made 12 April 1972 by Gordon C. Jones.
