Benjamin Director Gallop Benjamin Director Gallop was born in 1872 in Harbinger, Currituck Co., NC to Levi. M. Gallop and Martha Ann Merrill. Benjamin married Sarah Jane Wilkins in Washington, Beaufort Co., NC in 1895 and to them were born six children: Levie Thomas, Clara Virginia, Nellie Augustus, Dennis Leroy, Benjamin Marvin, and Annie Jane. Benjamin Director Gallop died in Elizabeth City, NC in 1946 and is buried in Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery. |

Sarah Jane Wilkins Gallop Sarah Jane Wilkins was born in 1876 in Beaufort Co., NC to Thomas Olah Wilkins and Sarah Jane Cousins. She died in Currituck County in 1972 and is buried in Powells Point Christian Church Cemetery. This photograph was taken in 1963 by Sybil Potter Tiedemann who lived with Benjamin & Sarah Jane from 1962-1965.
