Rennie Director Gallop & children, Mollie R. & Lucy Mae

Rennie Director Gallop was born in Harbinger, Currituck Co., NC on December 23, 1898 to Isaac Merrill Gallop, Sr. and Bertie (Montague) Gallop.  She married Edward Marshall Wilkins circa 1914 and they lived in Bath, Beaufort Co., NC when the 1920 census was taken.  Daughter Mollie Arbell Wilkins (shown above) was born March 18, 1917 in Currituck Co. and died in Beaufort Co. at the home of her daughter, Sybil Potter Tiedemann, on Nov. 17, 2002; Lucy Mae Wilkins (shown above) was born Sept. 27, 1918 in Beaufort Co. and died Sept. 30, 1980 in Beaufort County.  A son, Edward Murl Wilkins, was born Aug. 21, 1922.  Rennie died March 9, 1924 in Ransomville, Beaufort Co., NC.  Edward Marshall Wilkins (view his photo here), widower, was still living in Bath when the 1930 census was taken.  From all indications it looks as if this photo was taken c. 1919.
