William Simpson,

John Simpson &
Elizabeth "Betsy" ________, was born Jan. 1838
and died Dec. 12, 1903. He married Wealthy Ann Caffee, born in Jan.
1834 to James D. Caffee & Affie Dowdy. She died Nov.
12, 1900. William married Wealthy on June 23, 1859 and to them were born the following

Morrisette Family Bible shows Matilda Jane Morrisette died March 19, 1935 but her tombstone shows she died 1933.

George V. & Mary Alice Simpson c. 1954George V. Simpson, son of William Simpson and Wealthy Ann Caffee, married Mary Alice Smith, daughter of Dempsey W. Smith [see his photo & information here] and Melissa Hampton, on June 17, 1896 and they had the following children:

7. Marvin Lewis Simpson - b. June 6, 1904 d. Jan. 14, 1993
8. Katie Elizabeth Simpson - b. June 22, 1905 d. Jan. 8, 1955
9. Claud Willard Simpson - b. July 20, 1907 d. Jan. 17. 1991
10. Albert Vernon Simpson - b. Oct 16,. 1908 d. June 15, 1909

"Artha" Smith, referred to on the back of this picture, was Mary Alice Smith's half-brother, Arthur Smith [son of Dempsey W. & Barbara (Evans) Smith]. Arthur Smith was born Dec. 22, 1890 and died Nov. 22, 1930. Kenneth, Rosa & Milton are the first three children of George V. & Mary Alice (Smith) Simpson.
