Currituck County Wills
I Thomas FEREBEE being of a sound and perfect mind and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for the same, and calling to mind that it is appointed for man once to die, do give and dispose of my worldly estate in manner and form following, that is to say,
Item I lend unto my Wife Elizabeth FEREBEE the use and benefit of my land and plantation during her widowhood but in case she should intermarry or die I give the said land and plantation to Betsey PURRINGTON but if she should die without issue in such case I give the said plantation to James FEREBEE orphan of Benjamin FEREBEE deceased to him and his heirs forever.
My will and desire is that all the rest of my estate boath within doors and without doors be sold and after just debts are paid I give the remainder to my Wife Elizabeth FEREBEE forever.
I do nominate and appoint my Wife Elizabeth FEREBEE my whole and sole executrix to this my Last Will and Testament in witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand seal this twenty sixth day of August 1799.
