Currituck County Wills
In the name of god amen I Julian SANDERSON of the County of Corotuck in North Carolina being sick and weak but in perfect sense and memory blessed be god for it and knowing the uncertainty of this life and that it is appointed for all once to dye I therfore make this my Last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say first and principally I recommend my soul Into the hands of almighty god who gave it Hoping that by the meritts of my blessed saviour Jesus Christ to receive forgiveness for all the sins that ever I have committed in this wicked world, secondly my body to be buried in such Cristian manner as my executor Hereafter named shall think fitt and Convenient.
Item. I give to my Grandaughter Elizabeth CHURCH the value of ten pounds Virginia money out of my estate.
Item. I give to my Grandaughter Ann WHITE the value of ten pounds Virginia money out of my estate.
Item. My will and desire is that all the residue of my estate in what nature kind or quality whatsoever it be, be equally divided to and among my grand Children now liveing the Children of my son Richard CHURCH deceased and the Children of my daughter Leady WHITE deceased.
And I doe allso Constitute and appoint my son in Law Henry WHITE my executor to this my Last will and Testament In witness wherof I Have set my Hand and fixed my seal this thirty first day of July one thousand seven Hundred and fourty nine.

These may certifie that Samuel JARVIS and Easter WHITE two of the subscribing evidences to the within will appeared in Open Court and made oath on the Holy Evangelist that they were present and saw Julian SANDERSON Sign Seal publish and Declare the within to be and Contain her last will and testament and that they saw the other evidence subscribe her name thereto and also the said Julian SANDERSON then and at that time was of Sound and Disposeing Memory. Then also Appeared Henry WHITE Executor and took the Executors oath in Due form of Law ordered that the Honble. Nathaniel RICE Esqr. Secretary of this Province have Notice thereof that Letters Testimentary Issue thereon as the Law Directs.
