Hatteras Community Cemetery

This cemetery is located in Hatteras, Dare County, North Carolina.   From Hwy. 12 in Hatteras, take Fulcher Lane (SR 1258). The cemetery will be on the right about 100 feet.  The front half of the cemetery is clean.  The back part is under some trees, dense overgrowth covers some of the graves.  Some of the stones in the back section have been toppled over.  Some old wooden markers are illegible and some reported to have been washed away in storms.  This cemetery is also known as the Oden / Austin Cemetery.  Extra information is indicated in brackets.  Click on underlined names for a picture of the tombstone Google Maps for this cemetery.

Some photographs were taken by Ann Marie LaDue in April 2006 and, more recently, others were taken by Candy Roth in 2013.
