Mrs. Hattie Cates McDade, 80, of 1431 Pennsylvania Ave, died Saturday afternoon at her home. She was the widow of the late Johnnie I McDade. A native of Orange County, she had been a Durham resident for most of her life. He was a member of Duke Memorial United Methodist Church. The funeral will be conducted at 11AM Monday in Clements Funeral Home chapel by the Rev Tom Faggart. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. She has no immediate survivors.
