Hillsboro – Sept 12, 1953 – Mrs. Minnie Lee McDade, 83, widow of the late James F McDade of Cedar Grove Community of Orange County, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E C Liner near Hillsboro this morning. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. McDade was the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Mollie Compton McDade of Orange County.
Mrs. McDade is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Liner and Mrs. Lone Mincey of Hillsboro and Mrs. Joe Younger and Mrs. Charles E Hill of Durham, one brother, John McDade of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Miss Myrtie McDade and Mrs. W T Pass of Roxboro, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3PM Sunday at the Cedar Grove Methodist Church with the Rev Henry B Lewis, Pastor, and the Rev Eaton Officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be in state one hour before services. Pallbearers will be Jack, Frank and Donald McDade, Monroe and Joe Dickey and Earl Hughes.
