Mrs. Willie Mae Garrard McDade, age 87, of Durham, widow of Leo Hughes McDade, died Sunday night in Northwood Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. McDade was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She attended the Durham Schools and was a graduate of Durham High School. Mrs. McDade was associated with American Tobacco Co. for 27 years before she retired in 1975. She was a number of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Harry Brown.
Mrs. McDade was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her Goddaughter, Jean Peele Brown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. at Howerton & Bryan Funeral Home.
