Hillsboro-Dec 18 – Snide Thomas Chandler, 77, of Cedar Grove community in Orange County died in a Durham (NC) hospital Saturday morning after an extended illness. He was the son of the late William and Geneva Covington Chandler of Caswell County, NC.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida McDade Chandler of the home; one daughter, Miss Annie Brooks Chandler of the home; two sons, Thomas L of Raleigh and Robert C Chandler of Mebane; two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3PM from the Cedar Grove Methodist Church by the Rev R C Newton and the Rev K M Misenheimer. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the services. Pallbearers will be Arthur Wright, Jeff Roberts, Winfred Phelps, Giles Long, Gordon Anderson and Clyde Roberts.
