In the Name of God Amen

 

The Second Day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Four.

 

I Sarah Wall Widow being in Good health and of perfect mind and Memory, Thanks be given to God.  Therefore Calling unto Mind the Mortallity of my Body and Knowing that it is Appointed for all once to Die, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to Say, Principaly, and first of all, I Give and recommend My Soul into the Hands of God that Gave it; and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Buriall at the Discretion of my Executor, Nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I Shall Receive the Same Again by the Mighty Power of God and as Touching Such Worldly Estate wherewith it Hath Pleased Almighty God to bless me in this life, I Give, Devise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and Form.

 

Imprimis, I Give and Bequeath unto my Grand-Son William French one Good Feather Bed & furniture thereto belonging, and three Deep New Pewter Dishes, half a Dozen Pewter plates and 2 three Quart Pewter Basons, and one three Gallon Iron Pott unto him and his Heirs for Ever by them freely to be possessed and Enjoyed.

 

Item - I give and bequeath unto my Son Henry Wall one Feather Bed & Furniture Thereto belonging to him and his Heirs for Ever by them freely to be possessed and Enjoyed.

 

Item – I Give and Bequeath unto my Son Arthur Wall one Feather Bed and Furniture thereto belonging unto him and his Heirs for Ever by them freely to be possessed and Enjoyed.

 

Item – I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Faithe Five Shillings to be paid Her after my Decease.

 

Item – I Give and Bequeath unto my Son John Wall one large Chest with a Lock and key and Twenty Shillings after my Decs. To him and his Heirs for Ever by them freely to be possessed and Enjoyed.

 

Item – I Give and Bequeath all the Remaining part of my Estate unto my well Beloved Grand-Son William French unto him and his Heirs for Ever by them freely to be possessed and Enjoyed.

 

And I do likewise Constitute, make and Ordain my well beloved Son John Wall my Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament and I do hereby Disallow, Revoke and Disanull and make void all and Every other former Testaments, Wills, Legacies, and Bequeaths and Executors by me in any Ways before Named, Willed and Bequeathed, Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.  In Witness Whereof I have hereunto Sett my Hand and Seale the Day and year above written.

Signed Sealed, published pronounced and Delivered by the Said Sarah Wall as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us the Subscribers.

The within Will was in Open Court Exhibited on Oath by the Exetrs within Named, and proved by the Oaths of Henry Horn & Sihon Horn Evidences within Named Quallified for Said Office accordingly.  Which is Ordered to be Certified.
