Ordered that Archibald H Davis, Harbert H. Harris & Phil. Hawkins be
appointed Coms. to audit the accounts Gaston[or Gushon] Perry & Calvin
Perry Exrs of Joshua Perry decd. &report to next Court.

Ordered that Callum Moore, Archd. H Davis & Allen Bowden be appointed
Coms[?] to audit the acct. of Priscilla Leonard[?] admx on Estate of
John Leonard decd & report to next Court-

Ordered that Sam Harris be allowed a [?Leener to nfail sherits?]
[prob. License to sell spirits] for one year at his House.

The Executor of a Deed from Wilson A[?] Webb to Burwell Stallings was
duly proven by the oath of James Murphry & was on M.OR,

On motion administration on the Estate of Joseph Young decd. is granted
to Samuel Harris who whet[entered?] into bond in the sum of $3,000 with
Thomas Broom, Matthew Medlin, James Ferrill[or Terrell] his Securities
who are approved of by the Court Cir[?] Jno Perry, William Stone &
Prylon[?] R. Tunstall Esqs Cert[?] on the Bench & qualified accordingly

The execution of a Deed from Presley C. Person Shff to Jas. Murphry was
ackd in open Court & was on Motion Ordered to be Recorded-

Constables for the County of Franklin for the next year to wit-

securities John Hicks, Nathan Cook & Athenalus Thomas- and in open

Captn. Strickland Perry's District Richard Fox is appointed Constable
who enters into Bond according to Law with Stephen Sparks & Samuel
Joiner[or Joines] his Security who are approved of by the Court

Capn. Allens Dist. James Murphy is appointed Constable who enters into
Bond in the Sum of $400- with James Collins 7 Robert Gupton his
securities who are approved - whereupon the said Murphy was duly
qualified in open Court.

ISsd. Ordered that Richard Jones be allowed a Licence to retail[?]
spirits for one year at Hayesville[?].

Nancy Swanson is appointed Guardn. to the heirs of William Swanson decd
who enters into Bond in the sum of $500. with Robert Gupton & Henry G.
Williams her securities who are approved of by the Court- David M.
Lewis; Joel King W. F Hollingsworth & Frd. Leonard being on the bench

ordered that Burrell Baker be allowed a Licence to retail[?] spirits
for one year within Town of Louisburg

Williams & Nathan Patterson his Securities.

Ordered that the county Trustee pay James Murphy twelve dollars for
attending on the Grand Jury, two days at September Court 1831. four
days at the Fall Term 1831 of the Superior Court, 1 day at the calle[?]
court in November last, two days at December Term last of this court,
and three days at the present term, making in al twelve days attendance

with $9.60 former costs and the costs of this Seifa[?] but the Said
plaintiff shall not have execution against the body of defendant

no. 20 William Thrift v Jno Allgood & Thomas Wright} Debt- Jury charged
to wit- Same as in no 13- who find that there is no payment or set off,
that the principal of the Bond declared on is $187.50 and aSseSs
damages for Interest to $16.59 &Costs 187.50-16.59/$204.09/408.18

grand Jury three dollars for his attendance on the grand Jury at this
Term & that & c

Houze's Spring Branch to Peter Fosters in room of Jno. Hicks[?] with
the usual hands

1831. Amounts to 83[?] W Poll. & 13 Black do, 11 his of case @ $6. on
oath which was renewed by the Court-

Seven dollars for 4 days attendance at oct sup. co. last and 3 days at
this term on the Grand Jury &that &c-

David Yarbrough & others v David M. Lewis & Jno Legen Executors of
James Yarbrough decd} This Cause coming on to be heard for pilden[?]
and andwar[?] and the exhibits and proofs, the Court doth deem that
under the Will of James Yarbrough the testator of the defendant the
petitioners are instructed to Netty, Banbal, Teddy, Lafayette, Lucy,
Hannah and Hampton the negro slaves mislawed as the pleadings and
appearing to the Court from an [overhead?] by born the needs[?] of the
chancery Court of Clarke county in the State of TenneSsee, that James
Patterson has been duly appointed of the Petitioners and that the said
James Patterson hath entered into Bond in the Said Court in a penalty
large enough to cover & secure the property belonging to his words
[or wards] which may come into his hands, the Court doth order Says
& deem, that the said David M. Lewis Jno. Legen Excrs & c deliver of
said Slaves to the said James Patterson or person authorized by him to
receive[?] them and it is ordered that each party pay his own costs &
that the defendants render[?] as themselves their costs on their
Testators Estate-

no. 20. Josiah Murphey vs. Daniel Blue[or Bleu]} Debt- Jury charged to
wit, Same as in no 17 who find all the iSsues in favour of the
plaintiff and aSseSs his damages to $76.03 of which Sum $74.06 is
principal & Costs.
