As a gentle breeze blew the mist up from
the valleys and the morning sun burned it away, the faithful gathered
once again to honor our ancestors. To mow, clean, maintain, and decorate
the cemetery which contains the graves of those who came before us and
made us who we are.
To our pleasant surprise, we found that both parts of the cemetery, and the roadside leading to it, were already neatly mowed and trimmed. Many hours of hard work had already been done due to the dedication of Dick Jones. He did a wonderful job. Dick is greatly appreciated by all of us and, Im sure, by the ancestors. Men and women, who had arrived with pickups full of mowers, weedeaters, and all necessary maintainence tools, quickly set to work installing a gate between the used and unused portions of the cemetery. |
