Return to Hyde County

This Bible was passed to Soonie Graye (Nobles) Ross after John and Mary died.  The Bible is currently owned by Joyce Anne (Ross) Mason, granddaughter of John Edward and Mary Ann Nobles.  Scans of the pertinent Bible pages were submitted by Ken Mason, husband of Joyce Anne Mason.

John Edward Nobles (1875-1943 see his death certificate) was the son of William Henry Nobles & Mary E. Boyd.  He married Mary Ann Flowers (1880-1958 see her death certificate which gives erroneous parents last names penciled in).  John is buried in the Old Episcopal Church Cemetery in Makleyville, Hyde Co. and Mary Ann is buried in Plymouth, Washington Co., NC in the Windley Cemetery. 1900 Hyde Co., NC (Fairfield Twp.)
