DEATHS

Metrah Worren Williams Son of O.W. Williams and Zadie B. Williams His wife was Born Oct 9th 1917

Mr. Sharp also included the following information:
Not documented in the family bible, but noteworthy, Zadie never recovered from the birth of Metrah and died 5 months later.  Onslow married Mamie Berry, Zadie’s sister, who raised the last crop of boys. Mamie did not have children of her own as far as I know.  Also, I believe Onslow’s pedigree is as follows:
1. John Williams, Sr. of Ocracoke (1725? – 1787)
  2. Benjamin Williams of Ocracoke (1767 – 1831)
    3. Willis Williams of Ocracoke (1797 – 1837)
      4. Benjamin Williams maybe of Ocracoke (1832 – 1870)
        5. Onslow Williams maybe of Swan Quarter (1859 – 1939)

Merlin Berry offered this information:

Zadie or Zaida Berry was the d/o Richard Thomas Berry, son of John Berry, Jr.
Zadie married Onslow W. Williams on Oct. 6, 1897; they lived at Tiny Oak (out of Swan Quarter), then moved to the Sandhills, near Aurora.  After Zadie's death, Onslow married her sister, Mary Jane "Mamie" Berry.  Zadie B. Williams is  buried in the Sandy Grove Holiness Church, at Small, NC, a cemetery in the Edward area of Beaufort County.  Her tombstone reads:
Zadie B. Williams -- Mar. 21, 1874 - Mar. 10, 1918
On page 639 of "Pamticoe Cousins" are listed Willams' whom the author did not record the dates for. They are: Onslow Warren Williams and Mamie Berry Williams.
