• 2. Nancy Elizabeth McGowan [in her father's lap] was born October 22, 1900 in Beaufort County, N.C and died December 18, 1991.
• 3. Aaron McGowan [standing beside his father] was born in New Lake, Hyde Co., N.C. on February 28, 1894 and died November 16, 1964.
• 4. Catherine P. "Katie" (Sawyer) McGowan, daughter of Joel Sawyer and Kezia _____ was born in New Lake, Hyde County on November 4, 1860 and died December 8, 1937.
• 5. Patsy Caroline McGowan [in her mother's lap] was born in Beaufort County on February 28, 1904.
