 Deborah
Sarah Farrow was born at Cape Hatteras. She was the daughter of James Browning Farrow (born c1822) and
Pheobe M. ??? (born
c1827). James and Pheobe died before 1870. James, a veteran
of the Civil War, was the son of Jacob (born 1794 - died bef. 1860) and Elizabeth
Farrow (born 1804 - died aft. 1864).The children of Jacob and Elizabeth Farrow
were:
1. James Browning Farrow (c1822 - c1870) md.
Pheobe M. _______ before 1850. At the age of 41 he enlisted on
June 14, 1863 at Hatteras Banks for 3 years. He had blue eyes and dark
hair was was 5'6" in height. He is not found after Aug. Term 1866 when
a deed from Edmond D. O'Neal to James B. Farrow was proved by the oath of
Oliver N. Barnett.
2. Christopher P. Farrow (c1825 - 25 Nov 1871) md.
Fanny E. Farrow in Hyde Co. on July 13, 1853. Fanny was
possibly the d/o Hezekiah & Mary Farrow. At the age of 38 Christopher
enlisted on June 16, 1863 at Hatteras Banks for a 3 year term. He was
5'9" tall, had blue eyes and brown hair and was a sailor by occupation.

7. Nasa Farrow (1845-
aft. 1870) md. Dorcas Jackson Dec. 31, 1868. At the age of 17 he
enlisted in Co. "I" in June 1863 and was a sailor by occupation. He
was confined to Ft. Macon in April 1865 to await trial under the name of Asa
W. Farrow.

Deborah Sarah Farrow's parents died when she
was very young and she was raised by her Uncle and Aunt,
Christopher and Fanny Farrow.
