Dec. 20, 1785 - I promise to deliver to Capt. Saml. Daily the quantity of ninety thousand 18 inch shingles to be delivered at convenient landings near the Log House Landing.  As witness my hand this 20th day Dec. 1785.  14 days after date.  /s/ Jas. Wilkinson

Feb. 1887 - Rec'd. of Mr. James Wilkerson forty five thousand shingles on acct. of part of the within note.  Delivered to the orders? of Capt. John Alderson & myself on board the Brig. Providence.  /s/ Capt. Knight; Samuel Daily

Sept. 15, 1788 - Summons to the Sheriff of Hyde County to find James Wilkinson and have him in Court at Woodstock on the last Monday next to answer to Samuel Daily on a plea of trespass and the damage of £50.

Nov. Term 1788 - Samuel Daily complains that James Wilkenson signed a promissory note on Dec. 20, 1785 to deliver the full quantity of ninety thousand 18 inch shingles for value received.  Daily is seeking £50 in damages.

June 2, 1789 - Summons to the Sheriff of Hyde County to find Thomas Daily & Elizabeth Daily, executor & executrix of Samuel Daily, dec'd., and have them at Court at Woodstock on the last Monday in August to answer Samuel Garrett & Company on a plea of trespass in the sum of £200.

May 31, 1790 - Summons to the Sheriff of Beaufort County to have Buridge Hutchins Selby in Court at Woodstock on the last Monday in August to render unto the executor & executrix of Samuel Daily, dec'd., the sum of £102 and also £4, 17 shillings and 11 pence which he owes the said estate.
