[NOTE]  Thomas G. Midyette was born Apr. 22, 1838 to Benjamin Franklin Midyett & Susannah Gibbs.  Thomas was first married to Frances E. "Fanny" Burrus on Dec. 2, 1857 and they had 3 children: 1) Caroline Midyette (born c1859 and probably died young); 2) Mary T. "Molly" Midyett (born c1862 & living in 1880); 3) William S.J. Midyette (born c1864 & living in 1880).  Fanny probably died before 1870 because Thomas married Margaret Gray (Spencer) Simmons on Mar. 17, 1870.  Margaret was the widow of William Thomas Simmons who died in 1863.
