May Term 1866 - Petition of Lavinia Rose, widow of Jeptha Rose, dec'd., whose husband died in April and left the following surviving children:
   Nancy, wife of Jones Spencer
   Fanny, wife of William A. Selby
   Hester, wife of Benjamin Berry
   William Rose & Lavinia Rose who are minors
She also states that her husband was seized in fee simple of several tracts of land adjoining E.H. Saunderson, Henry S. Gibbs & also lands on Otter Creek adjoining the heirs of Jno. G. Blount containing 5 acres. She petitions for her dower.

May 12, 1866 - Levina Rose, widow of Jeptha Rose, relinquishes her right of administration on the estate in favor of Thos. M. Davis.

May 14, 1866 - Administrator's Bond of Thomas M. Davis in the amount of $6000.00 with Wm. Warren Spencer and Jones Spencer as his securities.

June 9, 1866 - Commissioners lay off to widow, Lavina Rose, her 1 year provision. There was a deficiency of $245.97 which is to be paid by the administrator.

June 9, 1866 - Account of Sales of the property of Jeptha Rose, dec'd. which was returned to court at Aug. Term 1866.

January 31, 1867 - Sheriff's summons to David Spencer, Peters P. Spencer & E.H. Saunderson to answer Thomas M. Davis, adm'r. of Jeptha Rose, dec'd., of a plea that they render $638.83 which they owe and unjustly detain.

March 7, 1870 - Sale of land
   45 acres adjoining E.H. Saunderson - $300.35
   100 acres adjoining Juniper Creek - $9.00
   40 acres adjoining H.S. Gibbs - $72.00
   100 acres adjoining H.S. Gibbs - $201.00
   50 acres adjoining the heirs of David Carter - $18.00
   14 acres on Auter (Otter) Creek - $.15
   5 acres adjoining E.H. Saunderson - $5.75

Nov. 16, 1870 - The notes belonging to the estate of Jeptha Rose, dec'd., was sold by Thomas M. Davis, adm'r., at Middletown.
