In the Name of God Amen.  I Burthany Veale of the County of Hyde and State of North Carolina being Weak in body but of a Sound & Disposed mind and memory When calling to mind that it is appointed for all Persons once to die & as touching my Worldly Goods that it Hath Pleased god to blef (bless) me with I give in Manner and form as followeth after Recommending my Soul in to the Hands of Almighty God Who gave it .  & Viz:  I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary A. S. Veale One Bead (bed) and firnature and One Heffer first choice together With Her Distribution share With my Other Child (looks like Abram) in the Residue of the Rest of my Estate and should she die leaving no Heir of Her body my Will and desire is that all the Property intended out of my Estate for my said Daughter Mary A. S. Veale shoud go unto my son Abram Cox Who my Will and desire is shoud take my sd. daughter and raise her in a Christian like manner.

I Give and bequeath unto my Children Richard Cox, Abram Cox, Asbay Cox, Deidama Gibbs, Elizabeth Gibbs, and Mary Ann Selby Veale the Residue of my Estate, after my Debts is Paid to be sold and equally divided amongst them Except one Chest which is also Give(n) unto my Daughter Mary A. S. Veale. I further nominate and Appoint my Brother Benjamin Saunderson, Richard Cox and Abram Cox Executors to this my last Will and testament Ratifying and Confirming this and (etc.) Other & Revoking all other Will or Wills by me made.  In testamony Where of I the sd.  Burthany Veal have hereunto set my Hand and Caused my seal to be fixt (fixed) this 17th day of November 1819.
