State of North Carolina, Lincoln County} Whereas on Monday 15th

May 1820 I was summoned by

the Sheriff of sd County to assess the lands claimed by John Tessier Esqr of the City of Baltimore, I have

assessed the different tracts as follows viz

Patent No 850 containing 6800 Acres on the waters

of Kings Creek & Clarks Fork waters of

Broad River and on the waters of Crowders Creek

being waters of the Catawba river Joining lands of Samuel

Blackwood, Widow Graham, John Falls, Arthur Patterson

Junr John Dickson, James Karr, Andrew Ferguson, John

Wilson, & Nathan Mendenhall, Which tract

I deem worth 5 Cents per Acre and no more

amounting to                           $340.00

 

Also another tract N852 Situate in Said County on

Haggins fork, Falling Creek, & Balls Creek Joining lands

of Mathew Wilson, James Wilson, Willm & James Caldwell

John & Bernard Snider, Frederic Ward, David Ramsy

Archabald Hamilton Isaac Robinson & Patric OBrian

Containing 4212 Acres I deem worth 10 Cents per Acre

Amounting to                                            $429.20

 

Also Another tract N854 Acres Containing by estimation

4904 Acres in Said County on the waters of Jacob River

the head waters of Buffaloe, and Indian Creek Joining lands

of John Mull, John Orr Sen & Junr Aeres Winter Samuel

Carpenter & Jesse Kirkendall, Jean Hogsheads Henry

McElroy Ambrose Bonham James Johnson Thomas

Robison, Leonard Piles, William Harbinson,

Hafner, Soloman Deitz, Widow Pilgrim, David Ramsey

Nicholas Chapman & Michael Shell I assess at

10 Cents per Acre Amounting                   $490.40

 

Also another tract of 1910 Acres Situate in sd

County on the waters of the So Fork of the Catawba

river & on the waters of Clarks creek Joining lands of

Francis Ring Mathias & Tobias Peterson Mouser, Hortor

& George Seitz on both sides [of] the Road leading from

Lincolnton to Morganton I deem worth 20 Cents

per Acre Amounting to                    $382.00

 

Also another tract No 865 Containing 2000

Acres on the waters of Indian Creek & Buffalo

Creek Joining lands of Absolom Bonham

Wm Chambers, Jacob Bullinger and Several

others I deem worth 16 Cents per Acre

Amounting to                            $320.00

 

making the whole 19006 acres

I assess worth $1961.60
