The following rosters were compiled from company muster-in and descriptive rolls. Other information was obtained from the North Carolina adjutant general’s Roll of Honor, discharge certificates, medical records, prisoner of war records, newspaper casualty lists and pension applications to the State of North Carolina. Secondary sources were postwar rosters and histories, cemetery records and records of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
