Chesley Addison Trice

Mr. Chesley Addison Trice, 90, of 3007 Pickett Road died Friday morning at Hillhaven Chapel Hill Nursing Center. Mr. Trice was born and raised in Durham and was the son of the late Chesley A. Trice Sr. and Loretta Cook Trice.

He was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Co., where he worked in the traffic department for 43 years. Mr. Trice was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Emory Trice; sons Addison Trice of Durham, Ray Trice of Atlanta, Ga., and stepson Lance Bowles of Cary; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Clements Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Steven Teague.

Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edwin Trice, Raymond Trice Jr., Brian Eggers, Ralph Neal, Tillman Elliott and Greg Evans. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Saturday evening at Clements Funeral Home in Durham and at other times at the home of Addison Trice, 3429 Medford Road, Durham.
