John Will Couch

John Will Couch, 87, retired farmer and resident of Page Road, Rt 1, Morrisville, died yesterday in Watts Hospital after four weeks of illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Hall-Wynne Chapel by the Rev. Don Brown and the Rev. Gene Outland. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Annex B. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cedar Fork Baptist Church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

He was born in Orange County. He had lived his entire life in the Durham area, where he was engaged in truck farming. He was member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lola Perry Couch; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Carpenter of Pittsboro and Mrs. Mabel Keith, Mrs. Bessie Green and Mrs.Mildred White, all of Durham County; a son Jesse Couch of Norfolk, Va; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Couch of Akron, Ohio, and Chesley Trice of Durham County; and a sister, Mrs. Frances Cole of Durham County.
