Mrs. Octavia B. Couch
Carrboro, Feb 8.- Mrs. Octavia Brockwell Couch, 79, died this morning in Memorial Hospital here following a critical illness for three days and declining health for several years.
Surviving are three daughters Mrs. Hubert Hackney, Mrs. Leland Pendergrass and Mrs. Ollie Council, all of Carrboro; three sons Jim and Ottis Couch of Carrboro and Ervin Couch of Burlington; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; and one brother Oliver J. Brockwell of Orange County.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Carrboro Methodist Church with the Rev. W. G. Crutchfield in charge, assisted by Rev. Leo Bridgers of Durham. The body will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services and interment will be in the Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro. Pallbearers will be Vesta Brockwell, Jim Taylor, Millard Richardson, Edward Thomas, George Williams, Dewey Williams, Jesse Hackney, Percy Sparrow, M. D. Merritt and Lloyd Senter.
