Was there listings for the rural communities in the 1928 directory. Also was there an index?

I am not sure to what extent the rural communities are covered, but if there is a specific community you are looking for then it’s not too bad to take a look. As for an index, yes- there is a General Index on pg. 6 and an Index to Advertisers on pg. 7. Since people are listed in ABC order by last name, you don’t really need a separate index for them.
