1928 Kinston Directory

Hill’s Kinston Directory for 1928 is now available online at the Internet Archive.  The directory is about 350 pages and lists businesses, residents, and organizations.  Click on the image below to access the directory.

    Was there listings for the rural communities in the 1928 directory. Also was there an index?

    Hi Mary,

    I am not sure to what extent the rural communities are covered, but if there is a specific community you are looking for then it’s not too bad to take a look. As for an index, yes- there is a General Index on pg. 6 and an Index to Advertisers on pg. 7. Since people are listed in ABC order by last name, you don’t really need a separate index for them. Happy hunting!
