Obituary of Dollie Hyatt Green ~ 2009

Mrs. Dollie Hyatt Green, age 69 of Lincolnton went home to be with the Lord Friday January 16, 2009. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 20, 2009 in the Kirksey Funeral Home Chapel in Marion. Burial will follow in McDowell Memorial Park in Marion. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Sunday January 18, 2009 at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton and from 1 until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Kirksey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green was born in McDowell County on December 28, 1939 to the late Wayne and Lucy Waycaster Hyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Willard Biddix and her sister-in-law Joyce Hyatt of Marion. Mrs. Green was a homemaker. She was a member of Brookside Baptist Church, Old Fort.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Eugene Green of the home; two sons, David Hyatt and wife Robin of Swannanoa, Keith Black and wife Jan of Asheville; one daughter Genia White and husband Jeff of Maiden; three brothers, Frank Hyatt of Marion, Kelsey Hyatt and wife Ann of Hayesville, Dee Hyatt and wife Brenda of Fort McCoy, FL; two sisters, Ann Forbes and husband Allen of Kenly, NC, Dot Biddix of Marion; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; special cousins Mary and John Gentry of Weaverville; 10 nieces; and 16 nephews and several cousins.
