McDOWELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Charles Ambrose Hensley, 10 Mar 2005

SPRUCE PINE - Charles Ambrose Hensley, 89, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at he
VA Medical Center in Asheville. A native of McDowell County, he was the son of
the late Hiram and Edna McCall Hensley, and husband of the late Lucille
Hensley. A bluegrass musician, he was a member of North Cove Baptist Church.
He was also a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors include a daugher, Wilhelmina Hensley of Forest City; two
grandchildren; and one great grandson.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at North Cove Baptist Church. Rev.
Adam Street and Bud Hensley officiated. Burial followed in the church
cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour at
the church.
