Obituary of Joyce Hall Lamb ~ 2008

Mrs. Joyce Hall Lamb went to be with her Lord on Monday October 20, 2008 at The McDowell Hospital. She was born December 3, 1941 in McDowell County and was the daughter of the late Wood E. Hall and Maude Mace Hall of Marion. She was a member of Trinity Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from Coats American after 35 years of service. She will be remembered as “Granny” to all her friends and family and an inspiration to all she met. Joyce was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents Joyce was preceded in death by one sister Edith Hall.
Surviving Mrs. Lamb are her husband Johnny Lamb and one daughter Jayne Lamb Edwards and husband Scott of Nebo. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Sarah Edwards, Matt Edwards and Katherine Edwards of Nebo; four brothers, Bob Hall and late wife Loretta, Jim Hall and wife Janice, Joe Hall and wife Frankie, all of Marion and Rev. Jerry Hall and wife Joyce of Erwin, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 22, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Trinity Hill Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry McClain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Trinity Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
