Obituary of Phyllis Dean Arney Nolte ~ 2009

Phyllis Dean Arney Nolte, 69, of Nebo, NC went home to be with the Lord Tuesday January 6, 2009 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1939 in Washington County, TN to the late George Samuel Arney and Ruby Edna Dunn Arney. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Choir Member. Mrs. Nolte loved the Lord and was extremely active in her church. She was a good Christian woman and soul winner, who lead a lot of her family to the Lord, including her own Mom and Grandchildren. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Edward Nolte, Sr.; and two brothers, Robert and George Arney.
Surviving are one son James Nolte, Jr. of Nebo, NC; two daughters, Terry Nolte Valentino and husband Jorge of Marion, NC and Barbara Burnette of Marion, NC; seven grandchildren, Charles B. Eline, III, Mark A. Nolte, Bridget M. Burnette, Christy N. Nolte, Elizabeth A. Gardin, Henry “JR” G. Burnette, Jr. and James Nolte, III; five great grandchildren, Alex, Max & Trinity Eline, Hunter Wayne Gardin and Baby Nolte; one brother Nick Arney; step-mother and friend Ruth Arney; special friends Rev. Bill & Wanda Long; and many special friends and church family.
Services were held at 3:00 PM on Friday January 9, 2009 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Waddle officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
