McDOWELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - James Edward Presnell, 7 Aug 2002 ----¤¤¤---- JAMES EDWARD PRESNELL MARION - James Edward Presnell, 85, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 at his home after an extended illness. He was the son of the late W.B. Presnell and Essie Laws Presnell. He was a WWII veteran and member of Sunnyvale Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Clarice Dellinger Presnell of the home; one son, Kenneth Presnell of Nebo; two daughters, Carolyn Waters of Marion, and Doris Greene of Bakersville; three brothers, Lee and Paul Presnell, both of Marion, and Arnold Presnell of Nebo; two sisters, Rose Ann Parkins and Bonnie Lavender, both of Nebo; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Buchanan officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
