Obituary of Clyde Stepp Rader ~ 1999

Mrs. Clyde Stepp Rader, 89 of Marion died Friday, April 23, 1999 at Aston Park Health Care Center, Asheville, NC. Born to the late John Tisdale and Lula Tisdale Stepp, she was retired from Belk-Broome Company as a sales clerk in the children’s department. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Marion and was active in the McDowell County and North Carolina Senior Games. She also sang in the senior’s choir group “Saints Alive” until her poor health caused her to have to quit. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Alvin W. Rader, Sr.
Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Ostwalt of Troutman, and Lynda Rumfelt of Winston-Salem; three sons: Alvin Rader, Jr. of Charlotte, Jimmy Rader of Dallas, TX and Eugene Rader of Houston, TX; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday April 26, 1999 at First Baptist Church of Marion. The Rev. Dr. Robert Davis officiated and burial was in McDowell Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Marion 101 N. Main Street Marion, NC 28752. Westmoreland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
