Obituary of Conway Tatham ~ 2008

Mr. Conway Tatham, age 93 of Marion passed away Monday October 13, 2008 at Autumn Care of Marion. Mr. Tatham was born in Andrews, NC on August 17, 1915 and was the son of the late Burt and Pallie Tatham. He was a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Tatham previously lived in Black Mountain and was a member of First Baptist Church for over 40 years.

Left to cherish Mr. Tatham’s memory are his wife Lucille Holland Tatham of the home; a daughter Suzie Pace and husband Bob of Charlotte; three step-children: Max, Grayson and Wayne Holland, all of Marion; four grandchildren, Krista Howard, Scott Pace, Eugene Holland and Amanda Collins; six great grandchildren: Abigail, Ainsley, Rebekah, Gabriella, Suzanna and Lauren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11:00 am in Westmoreland Chapel with Revs. Milton Hollifield, Sammy Sutton and Alan Sailors officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Black Mountain. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church 6988 Harmony Grove Road Nebo, NC 28761. An online register is available under OBITUARIES at www.westmorelandfuneralhome.com.
